BIO

As a figurative artist based in Dundee and Edinburgh, my ongoing pursuit has been to capture the intricacies and ambivalence of mortality, and the complexities of the human condition. Through primarily portraiture, my current work offers a reminder of the fragility of human life. I have found that the delicate approach of painting allows for contemplation and conversation that is often not said out loud otherwise.

Through consistent artistic practice, being notes, sketchbook drawings, or refined and meticulous detail in my paintings, I aim to sow both personal and cultureal threads into my practice. I place much value on methodology and painting techniques, and I look forward to challenging my painterly eye to truly represent the human mind and help others communicate their emotions through commission.
